These Terms of Use govern access to and use of the Cavox application (the “Application”).
By using the Application, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must stop using the Application.
1. Application Description
Cavox is a mobile application for vehicle diagnostics using an OBD adapter.
The Application may provide the following features:
- connection to an OBD adapter via Bluetooth or Wi-Fi;
- reading vehicle diagnostic trouble codes;
- displaying scan results;
- saving diagnostic history;
- reference explanations of DTC codes;
- AI-assisted analysis of possible causes of vehicle issues;
- access to paid features through a subscription.
The actual feature set may vary depending on the Application version, user device, vehicle model, OBD adapter type, active subscription, and technical limitations.
2. Informational Use Only
The Application provides informational reference only and does not replace professional vehicle diagnostics.
Diagnostic codes, scan results, AI responses, descriptions of possible causes, and estimated repair costs may be incomplete, inaccurate, or not applicable to a specific vehicle.
You must not make decisions about driving safety, repairs, maintenance, or vehicle operation based solely on information from the Application.
If your vehicle shows errors, warnings, malfunctions, unusual behavior, or any signs of unsafe operation, contact a qualified mechanic, service center, or official dealer.
3. Safety Disclaimer
Cavox provides informational reference only and does not replace professional vehicle diagnostics.
Do not make driving safety decisions based solely on the Application’s data, diagnostic codes, AI explanations, or estimated repair costs. AI-generated information may be inaccurate, incomplete, or not applicable to your specific vehicle.
If your vehicle shows warnings, unusual behavior, or any signs of unsafe operation, stop using the Application while driving and contact a qualified mechanic, service center, or official dealer.
4. User Responsibility
The user is solely responsible for:
- correct and safe use of the Application;
- correct connection of the OBD adapter;
- following instructions from the vehicle manufacturer and OBD adapter manufacturer;
- compliance with traffic laws;
- avoiding any use of the Application that may distract from driving;
- making final decisions about vehicle repair, maintenance, and operation.
You must not use the Application while driving if it distracts the driver or violates applicable traffic laws.
5. OBD Adapters and Compatibility
The Application works with OBD adapters connected via Bluetooth or Wi-Fi.
We do not guarantee compatibility with all vehicles, models, model years, OBD protocols, adapters, operating systems, or devices.
Some OBD adapters may work incorrectly, transmit incomplete data, have limitations, or be incompatible with a specific vehicle or user device.
The user is responsible for choosing and using an OBD adapter.
6. AI Features
The Application may use AI features to analyze diagnostic codes and provide reference information.
AI responses may contain errors, inaccuracies, incomplete information, or assumptions. AI-assisted diagnostics are not a professional conclusion, technical report, repair recommendation, or guarantee that the cause of a malfunction has been identified.
You should verify important information with qualified professionals.
7. Subscriptions and Paid Features
Some Application features may be available only through a paid subscription.
Subscription payments are processed through Apple App Store. Payment, renewal, cancellation, and refund terms are governed by Apple App Store rules and the user’s Apple ID settings.
If a subscription is purchased, it may renew automatically unless the user cancels it through Apple ID / App Store settings before the next billing date.
Cavox does not directly process or store payment card details.
Subscription status may be managed through RevenueCat.
8. Subscription Cancellation
Users can cancel subscriptions through Apple ID / App Store settings.
Deleting the Application from the device or deleting the account inside the Application does not always cancel an active subscription. The user must cancel the subscription through Apple ID / App Store settings if they no longer want to use paid features.
9. Refunds
All refund requests for purchases and subscriptions are handled by Apple according to App Store rules.
We cannot guarantee a refund unless it is provided under Apple’s rules or applicable law.
10. User Account
Some features may require account registration.
The user agrees to provide accurate registration information and not share account access with third parties.
The user is responsible for maintaining access to their account and protecting account credentials.
If the user believes that their account has been compromised, they should contact us as soon as possible at help@cavox.app.
11. Account Deletion
The user may delete the account and related data through the Application if this feature is available in the current version.
If the user cannot delete the account through the Application, they may request deletion by contacting help@cavox.app.
Additional information about account deletion and data processing is described in the Privacy Policy.
Deleting the account does not always cancel an active subscription. To cancel a subscription, the user must use Apple ID / App Store settings.
12. Prohibited Use
The user must not:
- use the Application for illegal purposes;
- attempt to disrupt the Application, servers, or third-party services;
- attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users’ data;
- use the Application for unsafe vehicle operation;
- use Application data as the sole basis for driving safety decisions;
- use the Application while driving if it distracts from the road;
- copy, modify, distribute, decompile, or attempt to extract the Application source code where prohibited by law or platform terms;
- use the Application to bypass subscription restrictions, gain unauthorized access to paid features, or abuse the service.
13. Limitation of Liability
The Application is provided “as is” and “as available.”
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Larisa Kozlova is not liable for:

- AI-assisted diagnostic errors;
- user misinterpretation of data;
- user decisions about vehicle repair, maintenance, or operation;

- interruptions in the operation of the Application, Supabase, OpenAI, RevenueCat, Apple App Store, or other third-party services;

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
14. No Warranties
We do not guarantee that:
- the Application will work without errors or interruptions;
- the Application will be compatible with all vehicles and OBD adapters;
- all diagnostic codes will be read correctly;
- AI responses will be accurate or complete;
- estimated repair costs will match actual repair costs;
- use of the Application will identify all vehicle issues;
- diagnostic history or other data will be available without interruption.
15. Third-Party Services
The Application may use third-party services, including Supabase, OpenAI, RevenueCat, and Apple App Store.
Use of these services may be governed by their own terms and policies.
We are not responsible for third-party service operation, availability, changes, errors, or actions.
16. Intellectual Property
All rights to the Application, interface, design, texts, logic, software code, and other Application elements belong to the Application owner or their respective rights holders.
The user receives a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Application for personal purposes in accordance with these Terms.
These Terms do not transfer ownership of the Application or any of its elements to the user.
17. Changes to the Application
We may change, update, limit, suspend, or discontinue individual Application features without prior notice if necessary for product improvement, security, maintenance, abuse prevention, or compliance with legal and platform requirements.
18. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms of Use from time to time.
If we make material changes, we may notify users through the Application or by another available method.
The current version of these Terms of Use is available at: https://cavox.app/terms-of-use.
Continued use of the Application after changes to the Terms means acceptance of the updated version, unless otherwise required by applicable law.
